Abstract |
This study highlights the magnitude of the crime that many Palestinian generations who live within Green Line have been exposed to since 1948. The image of the founders of the Islamic civilization, the Companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), suffered from misrepresentation, with the aim of ruining the Arab-Islamic identity. This study dealt first with the status of the Companions and the great position they occupy. It also covered the various forms of insulting them, and the Islamic religious rulings regarding these insults. In addition, this study discuses the Companions’ image in Atallah Qibti’s book, The Political History of the Arabs. This book is imposed as curriculum by the Israeli Ministry of Education on Arab schools for the tenth grade, which is a critical stage in education. This study objectively critiques sample images of Companions as presented in the latter book. |
